What Lies Ahead by Heather Randall

2/10/2015

Picture
I don't know what's coming
I don't know what's next
But you can see it all right now
You've ordered all our steps.

You see the end from the beginning
Know all the in between
You capture all the nuances
Nothing goes unseen.

You love us like a father
Lead us like a king
Guard us like an eagle
Held under your wing.

I'll walk forward as I trust you
Learn to walk by faith
Though my sight grows blurry
I know you'll keep me safe.

Teach me to keep walking
When my body starts to freeze
Remove the hidden obstacles
So I can move with ease.

Expose the faint temptations
When things get in the way
Crystallize your Word for me
Remove the shades of grey.

Capture all my passions
So nothing is held back
Use them for your Glory
Guard me from attack.

You're a lamp upon my feet
A whisper in my ear
Though I don't know what lies ahead
I know I'll find you there.
