Today I thought I'd share two of my recent paintings and a poem (in 30 6 word memoirs). Enjoy!

Memories determine who we will be.
They hold us in place indefinitely.
They weave themselves through our present.
Memories outline the path for us.
They propel us into our future.
They shape our character and destiny.
Memories remind us who we are.
They know us at our weakest.
They expose our greatest shining moments.
Memories keep me tied to you.
They freeze while time moves forward.
They hold me to moments past.
Memories are smells, sounds, and feelings.
They capture all of my senses.
They are tangible hauntings of emotion.
Memories always look on you favorably.
They remember the best of you.
They paint over your worst faults.
Memories are fantasy wrapped in truth.
They are what should have been.
They never really had the chance.
Memories are the laughter that lingers.
They force a smile at youth.
They brighten up the current setting.
Memories collide with grief, dance partners.
They remind us of what was.
They force us to face reality.
Memories are the key to hope.
They prove our life has meaning.
They prove we have a story.
